Emina Bektas, seeded 6th, advanced to the round of 16 in the Guadalajara 125 Open after defeating Usue Maitane Arconada with a score of 6-7 (8), 7-6 (6), 6-1 on Monday night.
Bektas, currently ranked 116th, will face the winner of the match between wildcard Dimitra Pavlou and Ukrainian qualifier Valeriya Strakhova in her next match.
