In addition to his fans, Carlos Alcaraz, Nadal’s Olympics doubles partner, hopes that the Davis Cup will not be the final time we see the 22-time Grand Slam champion on the court.
Having the opportunity to spend more time both on and off the court with him will be fantastic for Team Spain.

“I am going to cherish that time. Hopefully, it won’t be the last time we see him. Having Rafa around is always amazing. I miss him. I won’t deny that I miss him in the Laver Cup,” Alcaraz shared with the media in Beijing, where he is competing in the China Open this week.
“As long as I can spend time with him, it’s a privilege for me. I refuse to think about the possibility of it being his final appearance in Malaga. Instead, I want to focus on savoring his presence and admiring him on the court. Having him on the team is a tremendous source of support. He brings a wealth of experience to the Davis Cup. This will be my first Davis Cup Final, and it will be a remarkable experience. The opportunity to spend more time with him, on and off the court, is beneficial for Team Spain and our country, as we play on Spanish soil.”
Nadal has not provided any hints about his future plans, but he has implied that he is approaching the final stages of his professional career. The Davis Cup Final 8 is scheduled to take place from November 19 to 24 in Malaga, Spain, this year.
