American Amanda Anisimova, seeded No. 34, advanced to the third round of the China Open by narrowly defeating Colombian Camila Osorio 1-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the National Tennis Center in Beijing on Saturday night.
Anisimova, ranked No. 43, will now face Russian Daria Kasatkina, the No. 9 seed, in the next round.
Osorio, ranked No. 59, previously defeated Australian Ajla Tomljanovic (1-6, 6-3, 6-3) in the earlier round of the Beijing tournament.
