Dutch player Botic van de Zandschulp advanced to the second round of the Swiss Indoors in Basel after Kazakh Alexander Bublik retired during their match at St. Jakobshalle.
Van De Zandschulp, ranked 67th, was leading 3-6, 6-4, 4-0 when Bublik, ranked 32nd, withdrew from the match on Tuesday afternoon.
The Dutch player will face the winner of the match between Stefanos Tsitsipas and Francisco Cerundolo in the next round.
