Vienna Open 2024: Berrettini Knocks Out Tiafoe in ATP Tennis Match

Italian Matteo Berrettini secured his spot in the quarter-finals of the Vienna Open with a victory over American Frances Tiafoe, the No 5 seed, at the Wiener Stadthalle. Berrettini, currently ranked No 41, will face the winner of the match between Russian Karen Khachanov and American Brandon Nakashima in the next round. In the previous round, Berrettini defeated Hungarian qualifier Marton Fucsovics. On the other hand, Tiafoe, ranked No 15, advanced by beating Cameron Norrie. Other second-round results at the Vienna ATP 500 tournament included matches between Gael Monfils and Lorenzo Musetti, Karen Khachanov and Brandon Nakashima, Flavio Cobolli and Alex De Minaur, Grigor Dimitrov and Tomas Machac, Luciano Darderi and Jack Draper, Jakub Mensik and Miomir Kecmanovic, and top seed Alexander Zverev’s victory over Marcos Giron.
