American Christopher Eubanks, seeded fourth, narrowly defeated Australian Aleksandar Vukic, seeded sixth, with a score of 6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (3) to advance to the semi-finals of the Hall of Fame Open at the International Tennis Hall of Fame and Museum.
Eubanks, currently ranked 128th, will face the winner of the match between Australian qualifier Alex Bolt and American Marcos Giron, seeded second, in the next round.
In the previous round at the Newport tournament, Eubanks secured a victory against wildcard Ethan Quinn with a score of 7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-3.
Vukic, ranked 65th, triumphed over Chak Lam Coleman Wong (6-1, 6-2) and American wildcard Eliot Spizzirri (6-2, 7-6 (3)) in earlier rounds of the Newport tournament.
