Sec.ond seed Karolina Muchova advanced to the final of the Palermo Open by defeating Romanian Irina-Camelia Begu 6-1, 6-1 at A.S.D. Country Time Club on Saturday
Muchova, currently ranked No. 35, will face top seed Chinese Qinwen Zheng in the final.
Before her victory, Muchova also won against Katarzyna Kawa (7-6 (14), 5-1 ret.), Noma Noha Akugue (6-7, 6-2, 6-3), and Astra Sharma (7-6 (5), 7-6 (6)).
Begu, ranked No. 142, defeated Marina Bassols Ribera (6-0, 6-0), Arantxa Rus (6-2, 7-5), and Ann Li (6-3, 6-4) in previous rounds.
