A Small Move by Aaron Rodgers Sends Packer Nation Into a Frenzy

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has already made two sweet tributes to his brother, Jordan, who was murdered in February 2012 after an altercation with Aaron Rodgers’ brother, Brandon. During the final game of the 2011 season, a performance by the country band, Alabama, had made reference to Brandon’s murder. The Packers’ quarterback then gave the performance a final touch by rearranging the band’s song and stating, “This song is for my brother Brandon. He’s in the gap, and he’s in the end-zone.” During the 2012 season, Rodgers again paid tribute to his late brother, singing “Fly, Eagle” before the start of the team’s final game. This Sunday, Aaron Rodgers went one step further—he changed the

The news that Aaron Rodgers had signed a 2 year contract extension with the Green Bay Packers set off waves of excitement and elation among Packer fans around the world. After all, we know how much Rodgers means to the franchise and how much the team has struggled without him on the field in recent years. So, how well will Rodgers perform under new head coach Mike McCarthy and offensive coordinator Edgar Bennett? There are a lot of mouths to feed in Green Bay, and there are a lot of new offensive weapons for Rodgers to play with, so it will be interesting to see how successful the duo will be.

Green Bay Packers fans have had a tough offseason. Loop played right into the Packers fans’ hands by opting for a field goal with just over two minutes left in the NFC Championship. With Green Bay eight points behind at the time, that goal was (do the math) a team. Then the Aaron Rodgers saga began, just in time for the NFL Draft.

Now the Packer Nation is ready to grasp at any straw thrown at them. It doesn’t have to be something tangible or even team-related. No, the faithful welcome any interpretation that might be a little good news. Given the way the Rogers scenario played out, it’s not hard to understand the need for reassurance.

Why is Aaron Rodgers upset?

.

We are just over a month away from the opening of Green Bay Packers training camp on the 27th. July, and Aaron Rodgers will miss the team’s entire offseason schedule. General manager Brian Gutekunst insists the team will not sell its MVP quarterback. Team President Mark Murphy throws punches to Rodgers’ head. Virtually everyone who has been involved in a franchise has given their opinion on the matter.

By not attending the mandatory minicamp, Rogers lost his $500,000 training bonus. And according to Pro Football Talk, the Packers could be fined about $93,000 for missing these meetings.

But if the confrontation spills over into training camp, the price of poker will rise dramatically. At this point, Green Bay will have no choice but to fine their quarterback $50,000 per day. Unlike minicamp passing penalties, the Packers cannot waive penalties for missing training camp. This follows directly from the provisions of the collective agreement.

It’s a busy time for the Packers and their fans. So what is this grain of sand that fans see as a stroke of luck regarding Rodgers’ future with the team?

Update membership belongs to Wisconsin

Aaron Rodgers has been with the Green Bay Packers since 2005. So of course it has links to the local community. The Score, a radio station serving northeastern Wisconsin, reported that Rogers has renewed his membership at the Green Bay Country Club.

After all, would Rogers have renewed his membership to the local golf club if he wasn’t in Green Bay to take advantage of it? It’s not hard to poke holes in that logic, but we’ll come back to that.

First of all, it’s not like Rodgers didn’t have the guts when the rumor mill started that he wanted Gutekunst out of management. That’s far from the case when the reigning NFL MVP gets on base and takes over the team.

And here’s another thing to consider. We live in the digital age. How many of us have a membership that automatically renews itself and we don’t even know it exists anymore? True, a country club membership isn’t the same as spending seven or eight dollars on a music service you stopped using years ago, but most of us haven’t made more than $240 million from our work.

Aaron Rodgers’ stats for the Green Bay Packers are still excellent

In his 37th. This season, Aaron Rodgers is as good as ever. He started every game and led the Green Bay Packers to a 13-3 record and first place in the NFC playoffs. Rodgers had his third season with at least 40 touchdowns this season and exceeded the 4,000-yard mark for the ninth time in 16 seasons. And yes, he was named NFL MVP for the third time in his career.

Rodgers’ 121.5 rating was the second-highest in NFL history. He was only surpassed by the 122.5 points scored by one Aaron Rodgers in 2011. He is one of only four quarterbacks in NFL history with a rating above 100. All four are active. But unlike Patrick Mahomes and Deshaun Watson (four seasons) or Russell Wilson (nine years), Rodgers has been in the business for more than a decade.

The evolution of offensive philosophies and continued limitations on defenders (especially against the pass) have contributed to the rise in passer rating in recent years. Of the top 10 all-time players in these stats, only one played before 2000. The most notable player, Steve Young, 10th on the list, retired after the 1999 season.

It’s hard to argue that Aaron Rodgers isn’t as good as he used to be. But can a simple membership renewal be an indicator of which side will blink first?
