Now that he’s signed a new contract, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is under a lot of pressure to bring a second Super Bowl victory to Lambeau Field. He’s also in position to cement his spot in the franchise’s record books for good.
He has no plans to leave Green Bay, and he has no plans to leave his place in the statistical archives.

Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that the $200 million figure might be off a smidge while still operating as if he truly has signed a four-year deal to continue wearing the Green and Yellow.
If that’s the case, Rodgers will likely be on his last deal and will spend it with the only team he’s ever known, barring a trade. He might retire or wear a different uniform throughout the season, but we’ll suppose he finishes the four years with the Packers and hangs up his cleats following his age-42 season.
Only Tom Brady, Steve DeBerg, Doug Flutie, Warren Moon, and Vinny Testaverde have played quarterback over the age of 42, and only Brady has started more than ten games at that age.
Though Rodgers is now in the dreaded age-39 season, which has afflicted Peyton Manning and a slew of other quarterbacks before him, we’re also talking about a two-time NFL MVP who hasn’t showed any signs of slowing down. That will happen eventually, but Rodgers might still have seasons in which he throws for more than 25 touchdowns and 4,000 yards.
