Daria Kasatkina, who stands at 1.70 m (5 ft 7 in), was born on May 7, 1997. She started playing tennis at the age of six, introduced to the sport by her brother Alexsandr. Coming from a family of athletes, with her mother nationally ranked in athletics and father in ice hockey, Kasatkina had an early start in sports. She excelled as a junior, winning the 2014 Roland-Garros girls singles title and reaching No 3 in the rankings. Kasatkina’s highest ranking in her career has been No 8, achieved in August 2022. She has earned over $12.3 million in prize money and won eight WTA singles titles and one doubles title. Kasatkina reached the semi-finals of Roland Garros 2022 and made quarter-finals appearances at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon in 2018.
