German wildcard Justin Engel defeated Chak Lam Coleman Wong 7-5, 6-4 to move on to the second round of the Almaty Open at Almaty Arena on Monday.
Engel, who is ranked No. 458, will be up against No. 4 seed Francisco Cerundolo in the next round.
