Christopher Eubanks, the No 4 seed, advanced to the quarter-finals of the Hall of Fame Open by defeating wildcard Ethan Quinn 7-6 (4), 3-6, 6-3 at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum in Newport on Wednesday evening.
Ranked No 128, Eubanks will now face Australian Aleksandar Vukic, the No 6 seed, in the next round.
Quinn, ranked No 254, defeated Australian qualifier Marc Polmans (6-3, 6-7 (3), 6-1) in the previous round of the Newport tournament.
