In contrast, Tiafoe, ranked No. 20, triumphed over Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich Fokina (6-3, 7-6 (6)), Italian Lorenzo Musetti (6-3, 6-2), Jiri Lehecka (6-4, 6-7 (10), 7-6 (5)), Pole Hubert Hurkacz (6-3 ret.), and Dane Holger Rune (4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (4)) in the previous rounds of the Cincy Open.
