Farming for Fragments in Destiny 2 is an absolute blast! So how do you do it? First, you need two things: Iron Banner Tokens and Solstice Key Fragments. Problem is, you can’t buy these in the game, so you have to farm them out. Easy, right? Well…not exactly. Here’s how you do it:

Destiny 2 players are in luck, as they can now get their hands on the new Solstice Engram, which rewards players with powerful gear and weapon-specific modifiers. The Solstice Engram is available when players receive a Solstice Engram package from Lord Shaxx. Getting a package is as easy as completing the weekly Nightfall Strike, but if you miss it, or have no one to play with, you can create a fireteam and earn Solstice Engrams from that.

In Destiny 2’s 2021 Solstice of Heroes event, the loot revolves around key fragments and the packs they unlock. They only get season tickets from the EAZ Arena, but important clips come from everywhere.

In this guide, we’ll look at the best ways to obtain and grow Solstice key fragments, as well as the best ways to use them.

Destination 2: How to grow Solstice Key Fragments

By completing almost every activity in the game, you earn key fragments. The only one I could find that does nothing is Patrols. This will allow you to conduct strikes, play Gambit or Crucible, conduct raids, participate in public events, and all seasonal content/DLC currently on offer.

But most importantly, not all activities result in the same number offragments. Gambit and Crucible add up to 7 or 8, Raid encounters to 5, and Lost Sectors to 2.

The only lasting value is found in the Eve Solsticerewards, which give 5 per completion, regardless of time. Weekly, daily and recurring rewards all have the same value.

There’s also a hit playlist that gives you 12 key clips to complete a task. Learn how to optimize the exploitation of key fragments with bonuses and strikes.

  1. Collect all the Solstice rewards you can keep, including recurring rewards. If you need an extra shard to buy recurring items, head to the Spin at the Tangled Shore.
  2. Check out the Vanguard Strike playlist if you want variety, or the Lake of Shadows Strike playlist on EDZ for the fastest explanation.
  3. Prioritize daily and weekly tasks and reward them when you complete them.
  4. If you run out of bounties or only have two or three in your inventory, go back to Eve for more.
  5. Repeat infinitely.

Key fragments only used for open packages Solstice target Blue armor. You have to hold them until you can get the Solstice armor packs, which happens when you reach Magnificent armor quality.

At this point, you can either switch to a different character and let the catch-up mechanic do some of the work for you, or spend all your fragments buying good gear for the event.

It’s not the most exciting or particularly interesting grind, but the method described here is one of the best options if you want to do it quickly. If you found this manual useful, please read other manuals for Destiny 2 .
