Mel Kiper is often called the ‘Guru of Drafts’. He’s been doing them for over 30 years and has spent a lot more than that watching NFL games in his office. When he doesn’t watch, however, it looks like this.
Mel Kiper is the most famous draft guru in the world. He has been doing his job for years and has had a lot of success. One day, he decided to watch football on TV in the most bizarre way imaginable. Read more in detail here: mel kiper mock draft 2022.
Mel Kiper has a distinct personality that you won’t find in any other sports media outlet. Every year, the veteran ESPN NFL Draft analyst lives, sleeps, and breathes football, and if you asked him, he could reel off a few fascinating facts about 300 prospects.
When he’s not in front of an ESPN camera raving about a little-known cornerback from Northern Iowa, Kiper is a weird guy. He has some strange food habits, and his television viewing habits are beyond odd.

Few celebrities are prepared to reveal their strange dietary habits to the public. On the other hand, Kiper seems unconcerned about what football fans think of his taste. During the 2012 NFL Draft, he confessed to eating a piece of pumpkin pie with fat-free whipped cream on top for breakfast every morning. He doesn’t, however, eat the crust.
Kiper also revealed how he consumes a piece of pizza during an interview on the ESPN Daily podcast last year.
Kiper stated, “I remove the cheese off the pizza and eat it with mashed potatoes.” “So I eat mashed potatoes and pizza sans cheese.” Isn’t it true that I’m healthy since I don’t eat cheese? I’m not a big fan of cheese. I just leave a smidgeon on it for taste. The taste comes from the cheese. I do leave a little amount on.
“It’s essentially just the sauce and the bread, and then I top it with mashed potatoes.”
Okay, that’s ridiculous, right? But, believe it or not, that’s not even the strangest thing Kiper does.
Mel Kiper’s TV viewing habits will astound you.
So, we’ve established that Kiper’s eating habits are… peculiar. But with the way he watches television, he takes the oddity to a whole new level. I’ll hand it up to him to handle.
In a 2021 interview with Steve Serby of the New York Post, Kiper revealed, “[My wife] Kim purchased me DVDs for every episode of ‘Dallas’ for a birthday gift three years ago.” “I used to watch it at 9 p.m. every Friday night, when it was on.” She purchased me DVDs of a bunch of Johnny Carson’s programs, so Monday through Friday at 11:30 p.m., I watch Johnny Carson. At 11:30 p.m., ‘The Tonight Show’ aired.”
What’s going on here?
I could overlook the DVDs since Kiper is definitely a throwback, but watching his favorite series exclusively when they aired on television is a strange decision.
Kiper is a peculiar individual, yet it is precisely what makes him the finest in the field.
