The number 5 seed, Jiri Lehecka, secured a 6-4, 6-4 victory over the second seed, Stefanos Tsitsipas, advancing to the semifinals of the European Open at the Lotto Arena in Antwerp on Friday evening. Ranked 33rd, Lehecka will face the winner of the match between No 8 seed Marcos Giron and Belgian Zizou Bergs in the next round.
Prior to this win, Lehecka defeated Jaume Munar and Daniel Altmaier. Tsitsipas, ranked 11th, had previously bested Thiago Seyboth Wild in a close match in the Antwerp Open.
In the Antwerp ATP 250 quarter-finals, the results include Marcos Giron vs. Zizou Bergs, Hugo Gaston defeating Alex De Minaur, and Roberto Bautista Agut overcoming Felix Auger-Aliassime.
