After years of falling short, Dwyane Wade has finally reached the 10,000-point plateau, joining the likes of Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in the “elite” category of NBA scorers. The accomplishment comes as no surprise to anyone who has been watching Wade over the last decade, as he’s been consistently averaging around 20 points per game over his career. (At the same time, he’s also been averaging a dislocated shoulder every two seasons.) This year alone he’s averaging 22 points per game, without the services of his All-Star teammate, Chris Bosh. With a few more seasons under his belt, Wade may just be able to
It’s hard to believe that it was just two years ago that the Chicago Cubs were, as many would say, the laughing stock of the MLB. The team had posted four straight losing seasons and had not had a winning season in eight years (2007). The season before 2012, the Cubs finished in fifth place in the NL Central with a 71-91 record. The team was composed mostly of young players who struggled to hit, field, and pitch. The future of the franchise looked bleak.
The idea that the Seattle Mariners will double their 2013 win total isn’t a new one. Pundits have been picking the Mariners to do so since the preseason, and with good reason: the team’s offense is significantly improved, with veteran slugger Nelson Cruz leading the way. Cruz has been a positive force in the clubhouse, and he has helped players like Dustin Ackley, Nick Franklin, and Jesus Montero develop into solid major leaguers.Brooks Koepka is unlike anything you’ve ever seen on the PGA Tour. He has the competitive fire in him, like Tiger Woods, but he gets bored walking around the golf course. He plays best when the lights are bright and conditions are the toughest, but he can easily miss the cutoff if he feels the tournament is not worth his efforts. Koepka could be compared to an NBA player who only performs in the NBA Finals. A football player not putting on his suit for the Super Bowl. The eight-time Tour winner would only play the majors if he had the choice, and he even considers them the easiest matches to win. This guy could just be a robot.
Brooks Koepka’s career on the PGA Tour

He quickly turned things around and finished fourth at the U.S. Open and 15th at the PGA Championship in his rookie season. The following year, Koepka won his first Tour event at the 2015 Waste Management Phoenix Open. After a winless 2016 season, he picked up his first victory at the 2017 U.S. Open. Then the floodgates opened. A few months later, Köpka won the 2018 U.S. Open and the 2018 PGA Championship and climbed to the top of the world rankings. He followed that up with another win at the 2019 PGA Championship. Koepka has eight wins and four major titles in his PGA Tour career. He has as many wins in the majors as he does in the regular tour, which makes sense given his past statements in the majors.
He says the big championships are the easiest to win
. COMPARED TO: Tiger Woods was once called to the golf course in the name of his country Most golfers struggle at major championships due to the increased pressure and difficulty of the courses. But Kepka is the exact opposite. Being an emotionless robot who doesn’t even know what pressure is, Koepka thrives on the biggest stages in golf. I think sometimes the majors are the easiest to win, Koepka told reporters before the start of the 2019 PGA Championship. There are 156 [players] on the field, so I’m just going to hit at least 80. They estimate about half won’t play well, so keep it around 35. And then from the age of 35, some of them – the pressure will be on them. There are only a few left and you have to beat these guys. These are very sanctimonious words, but Koepka can attest to that. From 2015-2019, he had 11 first-place finishes and four wins in 18 major races. Since 2016, Koepka has posted a 74-under par performance in major tournaments. The closest player? Jordan Spieth – 22-under. This is ridiculous.
Koepka believes he can win twice as many majors
. COMPARED TO: John Daley spent $30,000 after winning the 1991 PGA Championship Koepka has no shortage of confidence on the golf course. Every time he enters a major tournament, he knows he can be beaten. So how much can a right-hander win with a big hitter? I see no reason why you can’t hit double digits, he said in 2019. I think one of the most important things I’ve learned over the years is that you don’t have to win, you don’t have to try to win. Stay here. If you stay here, good things will happen. Only three players in PGA Tour history – Jack Nicklaus, Tiger Woods and Walter Hagen – have more than 10 major championships to their name. Koepka will be disappointed if he doesn’t make it.It seems that everyone expects the Ravens to regress next year, so much so that some sites are already predicting their record and playoff chances for next season. I don’t see why you can’t get to double digits.” The Ravens had a bounce back season this year, going from a few years of irrelevance in the NFL to a winning team once again. They ended up with their best record in years and at their best record in their history. As a result, people have been talking about the Ravens’ chances of making the playoffs and whether they will be able to keep their core players..
