As a member of the United States Men’s National Soccer Team, Clint Dempsey has been in the spotlight since his days as a star at Furman University. Now he is one of the most prolific goal scorers in MLS with Seattle Sounders FC and will be an important player for his country in this summer’s World Cup.
I literally said I’ll never own a boat in my life is the title of a blog post that talks about how people who are afraid to take risks should not be allowed to make decisions.
Tom Brady is without a doubt the greatest quarterback of all time. Brady is just the second NFL quarterback to win a Super Bowl ring for two separate clubs, and the only one to do it in both the NFC and the AFC, with a total of seven rings. Brady (in)famously threw the Lombardi trophy to Rob Gronkowski, who was on a boat just 15 feet away from the one Brady was on, following his most recent Super Bowl victory. (He’s won it seven times, so he’s free to do anything he wants with it.) Tom Brady also has a boat, something he never imagined he’d possess. Continue reading to find out why he chose to spend $6 million on a yacht.
The reason Tom Brady bought a yacht isn’t what you would expect.
Brady didn’t purchase a yacht to inflate his ego or flaunt his wealth. In fact, Brady previously said in an interview with the Wall Street Journal, “I actually declared, ‘I’ll never buy a boat in my life.’” Never. “Who loves boats?” enquires the narrator. However, it turns out that owning a boat has one advantage: “forcing family time.”
“No one can go anyplace,” Brady said. They’ve been kidnapped. “I almost want to throw my kids on the boat and say, ‘You’re hanging with us – that’s how it’ll go.’” Brady has two children with Gisele Bündchen, Benjamin and Vivian, and another son, Jack, from a prior relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan.
Tom Brady has bought a $6 million boat.
Brady’s boat is a 77-foot Wajer yacht, which is an improvement over his previous boat, a Wajer 55S, according to The Sports Hub. It has a master bedroom, a junior suite, and a guest cabin, as well as an automated roof, and it can accommodate up to nine people.
Although Brady intends to christen his yacht “Viva a Vida,” the boat has a James Bond motif and is called “The World is Not Enough.” Brady paid $6 million for the improved boat, which is three times the cost of the vessel he bought after signing with the Buccaneers.
Brady also purchased a massive home in Miami.

His yacht(s) aren’t his only major acquisition as he settles into his new life in Florida. “His family is now a Florida family, and Brady is now a Florida man,” according to the WSJ. Or, at the very least, a Florida Man in the making. Winter in New England no longer necessitates heavy coats and wool hats.”
Brady and Bündchen paid $17 million buying a home on Miami’s Indian Creek Island, which is known as “Billionaire Bunker” because of the private 13-person police team that guards the island’s 42 residents. Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, as well as supermodel Adriana Lima, are among Brady’s neighbors.
Brady also owns a Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, one of only 450 ever built, a 2009 Audi R8, a 2015 Ferrari M458-T, and a 2015 Rolls Royce Ghost. He owns two Bond vehicles to pair with his James Bond yacht: a 2018 Limited Edition TB12 Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante, one of only 12 produced, and a 2017 Aston Martin DB11.
The people of Florida seem to be pleased with their newest inhabitant, at least based on the amount of admirers attempting to get a sight of him. And Brady and his family seem to be content in Florida, far from the harsh winters of New England. Brady’s family, perhaps, will be as enthusiastic about spending Christmas aboard the boat as he is. “No one can go anywhere,” the GOAT previously said.
