The Alabama Crimson Tide were the third-ranked team in the country in 2010 and 2011. Bama won the SEC Championship in 2012, but that was the last time the team posted a winning season. After the 2014 season, Alabama changed coaches from Nick Saban to Jeremy Pruitt, and the Tide under Pruitt’s direction have been in the middle of the pack at best.
NFL teams are in a weird place, with the quarterback position being a hot topic of conversation. There are plenty of criticisms and stories of what’s wrong with the position, but there are also plenty of examples of why it’s really not that bad.. Read more about bears news and let us know what you think.Nothing scares NFL quarterbacks more than the words of the Chicago Bears defense. There’s at least one rookie who doesn’t seem intimidated by this solid unit: new Bears QB Justin Fields.
From Mike Singletary to Brian Urlacher to Khalil Mack, the Bears are still one of the most feared units in the NFL. While these mid-majors have been gobbling up QBs for decades, Fields is not afraid. In fact, according to the Bears’ new quarterback, Fields is already saying nasty things about the famous team on the other side of the ball.

Just four years after trading for unsuccessful QB Mitchell Trubisky, the Bears did it again in 2021 by acquiring pass rusher Justin Fields from Ohio State.
During the football season, the former Bucky was considered the second QB behind Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence. However, Zach Wilson (BYU) and Trey Lance (North Dakota State) defeated the Georgia native in the draft process.
Entering the NFL Draft has been a roller coaster ride for Fields. The 6-foot-4 quarterback began his career at the University of Georgia. He couldn’t beat another top prospect, Jake Fromm, for the job and transferred to Ohio State.
In Columbus, Fields defeated Kentucky transfer Gunnar Hoak to become a two-year starter. He threw for 5,373 yards and ran for another 867, while scoring 78 touchdowns. That production led the Bears to send the New York Giants the No. 20 pick, the No. 164 (fifth round) pick in 2021 and first- and fourth-round picks in 2022 to get Fields at No. 11.
Although they gave up several 2021 picks, the Bears retained the No. 228 pick in the sixth round. The team selected Oregon cornerback Thomas Graham Jr.
Angle was recently a guest on the Chicago BearzKieq on the Micpodcast to talk about various Bears-related topics. In addition to his thoughts on preferring Michael Jordan over LeBron James, Graham also talked about his new QB.
His confidence is his best quality, because he walks around with such confidence that you think: Yes, he is my protector, Graham said. He does everything he can to make things better, not just for himself, but for everyone around him. That’s what you want from a quarterback.
When Graham was asked how he could compete with him in practice, he said:
That’s good. I’ve never had a quarterback that reacted randomly, so we talk randomly and he reacts, and I like that. It’s the host of the competition… It’s very nice to have this opportunity. Someone who not only loves the game as much as you do, but also holds a grudge against you.
If Fields can crush the Bears’ defense, he should have no problem with other teams in the NFC North and throughout the NFL.
Bears QB Justin Fields seems pretty happy with the plan the Bears and Matt Nagy have worked out for him. Fields also noted the considerable help offered by Andy Dalton. The two men have grown closer in recent weeks, both on and off the field.

Fields may be a first-round call-up, but he’s not the Bears’ first choice as a QB in training camp in 2021.
In addition to drafting Fields this season, the team let Trubisky go, retained Nick Foles and added former Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys player Andy Dalton. Fields gets the second team in place of Foles, but Bears coach Matt Nagy insists Dalton is the starter.
I mean, Andy is our starter, Nagy told PFF’s Chris Collinsworth, according to Sports Illustrated. Again: I can’t predict anything. You know how it goes. So much can still happen between now and the first week. But Andy is our starter and Justin is our second and we’re sticking to that plan.
The plan Nagy is talking about, which would allow Fields to stay on the bench even if it gives the Bears a better chance to win now and in the future, is mocked by Bears fans. They need Justin Fields, and they need him now.
Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace made an attempt to keep their jobs by selecting Fields. If they don’t leave him on the field now so he can talk dirty (and play QB) when he’s ready, this could be the last move they make in the Windy City.

The team already has veteran QB Tyrod Taylor, but with the pick, the Browns also selected Mayfield and became the first team to draft a pair of rookies with first round picks in the same year since the New York Jets in 2011, which also included first overall pick Geno Smith, and second overall pick Mark Sanchez..
