I doubt anyone expected Kevin Durant to channel Kobe Bryant in a sports setting. It was a nice touch, but what it really comes down to is respect. When Kobe Bryant was the face of the NBA for 17 years, he was constantly being compared to Michael Jordan. When Durant was doing the same, he was compared to LeBron James. That respect would go a long way with Durant, and it showed as the Team USA member accepted a Kobe Bryant jersey.

Kevin Durant, a Team USA forward, drew the ire of the Internet after his post game interview following Team USA’s victory over Spain in the gold medal game at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Like when Kobe Bryant appeared at a press conference in 2009 that was held in Bryant’s iconic Forum in Los Angeles. Kobe Bryant and Kevin Durant are both fan favorites around the world for their greatness in the basketball court, but now they’ve teamed up for an amazing feat. Durant showed his respect for Kobe Bryant on twitter after the 2020 Team USA Men’s Basketball defeated Spain,. Read more about 2008 usa basketball team and let us know what you think.

Kevin Durant’s postgame speech sounded disturbingly similar to what the late Kobe Bryant would say after Team USA’s quarterfinal win against Spain in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Team USA has had a difficult time getting to this stage in the competition, but Durant and his teammates are still in the semifinals. Durant, on the other hand, said it won’t matter if he and his teammates don’t win the gold.

Team USA defeated Spain with Kevin Durant leading the way.

Squad USA was on the verge of a stunning departure from the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after losing to a Spanish team that has been a nemesis in previous Olympics.

Ricky Rubio, a Spanish point guard and NBA veteran, had a monster game, scoring 38 points and attempting to lead his nation to a massive upset. Durant, on the other hand, would not allow Team USA to leave early.

The star of the Brooklyn Nets was almost unstoppable. Durant led the squad with 29 points while playing 31 minutes and shooting 10-for-17 from the field (including 4-for-7 from outside the arc).

In the second quarter, Team USA was behind by double digits, but Durant anchored a massive 36-10 rally that put the game out of reach. Durant was joined in double digits by Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday, Damian Lillard, and Zach LaVine as the Americans advanced to the semifinals.

Team USA’s victory was remarkable, but the job is far from done.

After a quarterfinal win, Durant adopts Kobe Bryant’s mindset.

Kevin Durant of the United States said after his team advanced to the semifinals of the Tokyo Olympics with a victory over Spain, “We’ve got to finish it.” This is where we’re meant to be. It’s all about winning the gold for us.”

Durant wasn’t exactly rejoicing after his outstanding effort in guiding Team USA to victory. Instead, he adopted the Mamba Mentality, which emphasizes remaining focused on the end objective.

Team USA expects nothing less than to be in this position and have a chance to win the gold medal, according to the 32-year-old.

Durant told the Washington Post’s Ben Golliver, “We’ve got to complete it.” “We’re meant to be here,” says the narrator. It’s all about winning the gold for us.”

Durant’s remark reminds me of Kobe Bryant’s news conference after his Los Angeles Lakers seized a 2-0 lead against the Orlando Magic in the 2009 NBA Finals, when he said, “Job’s not done.”

Unlike Bryant, who didn’t want to get ahead of himself, Durant only seems ready to rejoice after the gold medal is wrapped around his neck.

Durant may, in fact, have some inner drive. At the Olympics, he has never come away with anything less than a gold medal. He doesn’t seem to be ready to begin right now.

In the semifinals, Team USA will face Australia again.

In the semifinals, Team USA will face a stiff battle. Gregg Popovich’s team will also have the opportunity to avenge a humiliating exhibition defeat to Australia.

The previous time these two countries met, Australia went on an 11-1 run to finish the game and kept Team USA without a field goal for almost four minutes. The Americans had a poor performance, but Durant and his teammates have gained some momentum ahead of the rematch.

This is a competition that Kobe Bryant would like. Bryant would certainly be eager to put a past defeat behind him with a decisive win and dominating performance. Can Durant and his colleagues repeat the feat as Team USA seeks a fourth straight Olympic gold?
