Second seed Italian Lorenzo Musetti defeated Jakub Mensik 6-4, 6-1 to advance to the final of the Croatia Open at the ITC Stella Maris in Umag on Friday evening. Musetti, ranked No. 17, will face the No. 4 seed Argentinian Francisco Cerundolo next.
Earlier in the tournament, Musetti won against Marco Trungelliti (6-4, 6-3) and Dusan Lajovic (5-7, 6-3, 6-0). On the other hand, Mensik, ranked No. 81, defeated Alexei Popyrin (6-3, 6-2), Luciano Darderi (6-4, 6-3), and Chun-Hsin Tseng (6-0, 6-4) in previous rounds.
In another semi-final, Francisco Cerundolo beat Andrey Rublev 7-6 (6), 6-4 at the Umag ATP 250 held at the ITC Stella Maris on clay, with a prize money of EUR 579,320.
