Navarro, who is ranked No 12, will face the winner of the match between Chinese Qinwen Zheng, the No 7 seed, and Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka, the second seed, in the next round.
Navarro secured victories against Russian Anna Blinkova (6-1, 6-1), Dutchwoman Arantxa Rus (6-1, 6-1), Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk, the No 19 seed (6-4, 4-6, 6-3), and No 3 seed Coco Gauff (6-3, 4-6, 6-3) in previous rounds.
