Nick Chubb Rivaling Derrick Henry With Epic Feat of Herculean Strength

Nick Chubb may be the next star of Georgia Bulldogs. And it’s not just because he has a Heisman Trophy Trophy candidate named teammate on the Bulldogs; it’s because he’s a man among men physically.

Georgia’s Nick Chubb has had a heck of a week. First, Chubb made the headlines by announcing that he will be returning home to play college football on the Bulldogs’ campus, following his stellar performance in the SEC’s annual spring game. Then, the freshman running back went one step further and followed that up with a play that earned him the respect and admiration of football fans across the country.

On Saturday, Nick Chubb of the Georgia Bulldogs ran for a monster 169 yards 3 touchdowns on only 19 carries to surpass the legendary Derrick Henry as the school’s all-time leading rusher. His performance against the Texas A&M Aggies, though, did not come without controversy. Aggies’ team captain, Myles Garrett, had Chubb in his sights during the game, and pushed him out of bounds when the Bulldogs went for a touchdown. Chubb was hurt on the play, but after the game Bulldogs’ coach Kirby Smart had this to say about the incident: “It’s unfortunate you have to go out and get hit by a guy by design to make sure you don’t score a touchdown. That

If Derrick Henry of the Tennessee Titans is the standard-bearer for ridiculous strength at the running back position, Nick Chubb of the Cleveland Browns is a close second.

In recent seasons, Henry has lit up the NFL. In 2019 and 2020, he won the running championship, with his 2,027 rushing yards in 2020 ranking sixth all-time. Despite Henry’s brilliance, Chubb has been just as important to a Browns club looking for long-term success.

On the football field, Chubb might be Henry’s toughest competitor. In the weight room, it’s a similar scenario.

The weightlifting videos of Derrick Henry have gone viral.

Derrick The magnitude of Henry’s power is mind-boggling. He spends a lot of time at the gym, which accounts for a lot of it.

Henry often shares video from his exercise sessions, which have developed a bit of a cult following. Months after winning the running championship, the former Alabama star returned to the weight gym and has been cranking out repetitions ever since.

It’s no surprise that Henry led the NFL in broken tackles last season with 34. In close quarters, he’s difficult to knock down, and with a full head of steam, he’s much more difficult.

Henry, on the other hand, does not seem to be weary. He rushed for the most yards in the NFL, and it wasn’t even close. Henry outran the runner-up in that statistic, Minnesota Vikings standout Dalvin Cook, with 378 attempts (312). The Titans frequently dialed Henry’s phone number, and he nearly always answered.

Surprisingly, the advanced statistics indicate that Chubb will be even more difficult to pull down. This is due in part to his own disproportionate strength for his stature.

On the squat rack, Nick Chubb put up some insane numbers.

Chubb is vying for the title of NFL’s most powerful running back.

On the squat rack, the Browns star uploaded a video of himself doing five repetitions of 545 pounds. He also made it seem simple.

Despite the fact that Chubb is just six feet tall, he presents a challenge to would-be tacklers. Remember how Henry had the most broken tackles in the NFL? In terms of running attempts per broken tackle, Chubb was really ahead of him. In that category, he was sixth in the NFL.

Opposing defenders will find it difficult to contain the 25-year-old, who can create plays between and outside the tackles. He’s clearly established himself as one of football’s top running backs.

Will the Browns sign Chubb to a contract extension this offseason?

This summer, Nick Chubb is eligible for a contract extension, but it’s unclear if he and the Browns will reach an agreement.

Chubb is a world-class runner. He has carried for over 1,000 yards in each of the last two seasons and is second among running backs in terms of yards per carry with 5.6. The Browns may, though, have other priorities.

Baker Mayfield, the quarterback, is also up for a contract extension. Because the quarterback position is probably the most crucial in team sports, it’s understandable that the Browns would prioritize Mayfield’s contract above Chubb’s. Not to add, with Kareem Hunt in the backfield, Cleveland has some good insurance.

However, NFL Network’s Ian Rapaport recently reported that the Browns may attempt to extend Chubb before Mayfield, which says much about the team’s feelings about the former Georgia star.

What makes you think the Browns don’t want to retain Chubb? He works hard on and off the field, and he seems to be eager to be the greatest running back in the NFL.

Pro Football Reference provided the statistics.
