Alejandro Tabilo of Chile, seeded No. 19, advanced to the third round of the Shanghai Masters by defeating Arthur Rinderknech of France 6-3, 6-2 at the Qi Zhong Tennis Center on Friday night.
Tabilo, ranked No. 23, will face Tommy Paul of the United States, the No. 11 seed, in the next round.
Rinderknech, ranked No. 62, had previously won against Reilly Opelka of the United States (6-4, 7-6 (5)) in the earlier round of the Shanghai tournament.
