The Golden State Warriors are a choc-a-bloc’d team that are expected to be the champs this season. This beginning of the season is to be one of the most difficult stretches of the year for the NBA.

This upcoming season, the Golden State Warriors are going to be fearsome at every position. Sure, they’ll lose a few of their key players to injury, and they’ll probably have a hard time keeping their starting lineup intact. But, is the team good enough to make the NBA Finals?

The NBA is back, and every team is gunning for a championship. The Golden State Warriors are no different. They were a monster last season, and the addition of DeMarcus Cousins should make them even more of one. With a deeper bench and the addition of playoff vets Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston, the Warriors have a chance to do something big.. Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors are hoping to return to the top of the NBA this season after a two-year absence. They’ll get Klay Thompson returning at some point, but they’ll also have a number of young players who can help them compete for a championship.

However, experienced leadership is essential, and it seems like Golden State wants to add a former All-Star who can provide it, according to a recent rumor that the Warriors are interested in Paul Millsap.

Millsap, on the other hand, would be more than simply a voice in the locker room. The 2015-16 All-Defensive Team selection would also have a chance to provide a much-needed lift off the bench for the Warriors.

Paul Millsap has been a member of the NBA All-Star team four times.

Paul Millsap has been one of the NBA’s most underappreciated power forwards during his 15-year career.

Millsap became a good scorer in 2010-11, averaging 17.3 points and 7.6 rebounds after growing into a quality role player in his first four seasons with the Utah Jazz.

He became an All-Star after joining the Atlanta Hawks, scoring almost 18.0 points and 8.5 rebounds per game during the 2013-14 season. That year, he was named to his first of four straight All-Star appearances, averaging 17.4 points and 8.3 rebounds per game over his four seasons in Atlanta.

Millsap has been a key contributor for the Denver Nuggets’ up-and-coming team since 2017-18. At 35 years old, the Louisiana Tech graduate averaged 9.0 points and 4.7 rebounds per game in 2020-21.

Now that he is a free agent, he is allegedly being pursued by a number of teams.

The Warriors are allegedly interested in bringing him on board as a championship contender. a roster that is hungry

Although the majority of the elite free agents for the 2021 offseason have already signed with their new clubs, there are still some good players available who can offer depth for contenders, and Paul Millsap is one of them.

Millsap has been considered by both the Warriors and the Brooklyn Nets, according to Mike Singer of The Denver Post.

Millsap would be an excellent leader for any of those teams. He not only guided the Hawks to four consecutive playoff berths, including a 60-22 season and a trip to the conference finals in 2014-15, but he also helped the Nuggets to three consecutive playoff trips after missing the postseason in the previous five seasons.

Millsap, on the other hand, would benefit those teams on the floor, particularly Stephen Curry’s Warriors.

What would Paul Millsap contribute to the Golden State Warriors if he were to join Stephen Curry’s team?

The Warriors are coming off a season in which Stephen Curry was the NBA’s leading scorer, averaging 32.0 points per game. The Warriors, however, did not win either of their two games in the play-in round, and so lost out on the playoffs.

However, now that Klay Thompson is expected to return around Christmas (per CBS Sports), Golden State has a chance to compete in the Western Conference once again. As a result, Millsap may be of great assistance to them.

Draymond Green is the team’s starting power forward, but he doesn’t score much for Golden State, averaging just 7.0 points per game last season. Last season, Eric Paschall was the Warriors’ best scorer at the four (excluding Andrew Wiggins), averaging 9.5 points and 3.2 rebounds. He is currently with the Jazz.

Millsap would provide the Warriors with a player who can score just as well as Paschall, but is a superior rebounder, 3-point shooter, and defender. He’d provide a much-needed boost at power forward off the bench for Golden State, as well as experienced leadership to assist young players like James Wiseman, Moses Moody, and Jonathan Kuminga.

If the Warriors compete for a championship in 2021-22, all eyes will be on Curry, Thompson, Green, Wiseman, and even Andrew Wiggins. Millsap, on the other hand, would be just what they need to put them over the top.
