Frenchman Hugo Gaston narrowly defeated Argentinian Facundo Diaz Acosta 7-6 (4), 1-6, 6-4 to advance to the second round of the Hamburg Open at the Rothenbaum Tennis Center on Tuesday evening.
Gaston, currently ranked No. 81, will face the winner of the match between top seed German Alexander Zverev and Dutch qualifier Jesper De Jong in his next match.
