After a hard-fought match, Latvian player Darja Semenistaja has secured her spot in the last 16 of the Montreux Nestlé Open by defeating Ukrainian Katarina Zavatska with a score of 6-4, 2-6, 6-4 on Tuesday.

Semenistaja, who is currently ranked No 134, will now await the outcome of the match between Mona Barthel and the No 6 seed Tamara Korpatsch to see who she will face next in the tournament.
