The NFL is back! Week 6 is in full swing, with several high-profile matchups on the horizon. Here are three of the most intriguing matchups to watch this week.

Week 6 of the NFL season has a lot of interesting matchups. Here are the 3 most intriguing matchups of week 6. Read more in detail here: week 6 nfl schedule picks.

Week 6 of the NFL season begins with bye weeks. The Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints, New York Jets, and San Francisco 49ers will not be on the schedule this week. While the schedule is smaller, it doesn’t mean there aren’t some intriguing matches to keep fans interested. Here are the three most interesting NFL Week 6 games.

Sunday, October 17, 1:00 p.m. EST, CBS, Los Angeles Chargers vs. Baltimore Ravens

In each of Lamar Jackson’s first three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, the team has reached the playoffs. The club, on the other hand, hasn’t won a playoff game since Jackson arrived in 2018. The Chargers haven’t reached the playoffs as a team since that same year, but second-year sensation Justin Hebert is hoping to alter that.

Both teams are 4-1 and in first place in their respective divisions. Both clubs have top-ten scoring attacks (Chargers No. 6, Ravens No. 9) and defenses that are in the middle of the pack (Chargers No. 13, Ravens No. 14).

This game should be a showdown between Herbert and Jackson, but the outcome will most likely be determined by whatever defense can step in late and make one huge play.

Carson Wentz and the Indianapolis Colts were chopping through the Ravens defense like they were the Greatest Show on Turf the last time we saw them. The Chargers’ defense has also given up a lot of yards and scores, but in Joey Bosa and Derwin James, LA has two more big-time playmakers than Baltimore, giving them an advantage in their NFL Week 6 matchup.

Sunday, October 17th, 4:25 p.m. EST, CBS, Las Vegas Raiders vs. Denver Broncos

With 11 games without scoring on the first drive, the #Raiders have the longest current skid. With 24 games without a touchdown on the first drive, the Broncos have the longest current skid. Will any of these streaks come to an end on Sunday?

Don’t overlook the NFL Week 6 games between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Detroit Lions, the Arizona Cardinals and the Cleveland Browns, and the Dallas Cowboys and the New England Patriots. All of them were vying for a spot on the list.

Then there was the Jon Gruden debacle.

The Las Vegas Raiders, who are visiting the Denver Broncos, must now make the cut. The Raiders, who were once the NFL’s darlings in 2021, are now a total disaster. The team’s head coach was fired as a consequence of a completely contemporary controversy involving everything that the gossip-hungry American public can’t get enough of: technology, politics, racism, sexual orientation, leaked papers, and more.

After a week of juicy information, all eyes will be on the football field to see how Derek Carr, Josh Jacobs, Darren Waller, Maxx Crosby, and Carl Nassib can continue to perform their jobs after one of sports’ most dramatic collapses.

On top of that, this is a division matchup between two clubs who began 3-0 but have since lost two straight games. Is any of these teams for genuine, or was it all a figment of the imagination?

Fans will come to witness the human aspect of this NFL Week 6 matchup, but they should remain for the fascinating AFC West backdrop.

Monday, October 18, 8:15 p.m. EST, ESPN, Buffalo Bills vs. Tennessee Titans

The Titans defeated the Bills 42-16 in Nashville a year ago today. On Monday night, they’ll meet there again.

October 14, 2021 — ProFootballTalk (@ProFootballTalk)

Only two teams will really defeat the Buffalo Bills in 2020, apart from Arizona’s “Hail Murray” setback. By defeating the Kansas City Chiefs, Josh Allen and his teammates avenged two defeats. Now, the Bills will seek vengeance against the Tennessee Titans, who defeated the reigning AFC East champions 42-16 in Week 5 last season.

The Titans will face a different Bills squad from the one that dominated them last season. The Bills have the best scoring offense (34.4 points per game) and scoring defense in the league (12.8 points per game allowed).

The Bills are without a doubt the greatest team in football if Allen’s squad travels to Nashville on Monday Night Football and wins. The Titans, on the other hand, offer a distinct difficulty.

Tennessee ran for 139 yards against Buffalo last season, didn’t throw the ball over, and intercepted the Bills three times. Buffalo is designed to match Kansas City’s high-powered, pass-first attack. Maybe the Bills aren’t who we think they are if a power-rushing squad like Tennessee can once again confound Sean McDermott’s club.

In the last game of the NFL Week 6 schedule, we’ll find out.
