The Los Angeles Chargers have signed defensive back JC Jackson to a four-year deal worth $16.5 million, and the team will likely go all out in order to make sure they land him on their roster this season.
The Los Angeles Chargers have signed a massive contract with wide receiver, Josh “JC” Jackson. The Chargers are going all-in on this signing and it’s paying off. Read more in detail here: nfl chargers.
The Los Angeles Chargers aren’t going to waste any time.
Mike Williams was signed to a three-year contract by the Chargers before to free agency. Then, in a stunning move, they acquired star pass rusher Khalil Mack from the Chicago Bears in a blockbuster transaction.
The Chargers accomplished what had been speculated for a long time on Monday, when the legal tampering period began: they signed Pro Bowl cornerback JC Jackson to a massive contract.
Jackson’s arrival in Los Angeles has been spoken about for a long time, and the Chargers wasted no time in making it happen and bolstering what is already a powerful defense. The Chargers are going all-in, something we’ve never seen before, and the AFC West is shifting by the day.
After Derwin James’ emoji tease, the Chargers sign JC Jackson to a huge contract.
Derwin James Jr., the Chargers’ standout safety, issued the standard eye emoji Tweet on Monday, which elicited a lot of excitement. Then, after a few hours of silence, James tweeted it again, this time with two pairs of eyes.
It was reported shortly after the second Tweet that the Chargers had reached an agreement with Jackson.
Mr. INT gets compensated, and it’s a well-deserved arrangement for Jackson. After the New England Patriots declined to utilize the franchise tag on Jackson, it was expected that he would get a lucrative contract, with the Los Angeles Chargers emerging as the leader.
Brandon Staley loves and breathes defense, and the Los Angeles Rams were in dire need of assistance in the secondary. The Chargers now have a defensive core consisting of James, Jackson, Joey Bosa, and Khalil Mack.
That’s terrifying.
To begin the 2022 offseason, the Chargers are continuing to go all-in.
With the Khalil Mack deal and the acquisition of JC Jackson, the Chargers are going all-in. With Justin Herbert on a rookie contract, it makes sense. The Rams have a similar roster-building philosophy. In Los Angeles, celebrity matters.

This is something the Chargers never do. Nonetheless, here we are.
The Chargers brought back their No. 2 wide receiver in a couple of days, built one of the top pass-rushing tandems in the NFL, and signed the best available CB on the market.
They’re not finished yet, either. Sure, after taking on Mack’s salary and signing Jackson to a massive deal, the cap room is running out, but Tom Telesco and Brandon Staley aren’t done adding to this squad.
They still hold the No. 17 overall selection in the 2022 NFL Draft and can save money by restructuring contracts and removing Bryan Bulaga, among other things.
Now that Justin Herbert is under contract as a rookie and both Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler have signed, it’s time to put all of your chips in and make a run. This is oddly similar to what the Los Angeles Rams did last summer, so maybe Staley and Telesco are taking notes from their neighbors at SoFi Stadium.

The Kansas City Chiefs were one game away from making their third consecutive trip to the Super Bowl. In Week 18, the Raiders defeated the Chargers to clinch a postseason berth.
The Broncos sacked Vic Fangio, brought in Russell Wilson, and are projected to be major free agent players. The Chargers have spent roughly $200 million in the last two days, and their pre-free agency spending binge on Williams and Mack was already a major boost to their 2022 chances.
Jackson’s arrival is the most significant of all. Staley adds a Pro Bowl CB who can teach Asante Samuel Jr. the ropes, and the LA defense’s back end seems to be a formidable unit.

Who knows who else may come to LA, and seeing a roster like this might entice more veterans to join the Chargers on a lower contract. Who knows what will happen.
The Chargers, on the other hand, are going all-in to make the most of Herbert’s rookie deal. Enjoy the trip, because the AFC West may pass through Los Angeles in 2022 and beyond.
