Who Did the Dallas Cowboys Pick in the 2022 NFL Draft?

The Dallas Cowboys, a professional football team in the National Football League, have revealed their picks for the 2022 NFL Draft. The draft will take place from April 15-17 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. They currently hold five selections and plan on trading away two of them as they prepare to build towards getting back into contention by 2030.

The “who did the dallas cowboys draft 2022” is a question that has been asked for years. The Dallas Cowboys have finally selected their first player in the 2022 NFL Draft.

The Dallas Cowboys haven’t gone to the Super Bowl — or even the NFC Championship Game — in over a quarter-century, but the 2021 season seemed to be their best chance in years.

With Dak Prescott back from the devastating leg injury that derailed the Cowboys’ whole 2020 season, a bevy of other offensive weapons, and a substantially better defense under new defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, the Cowboys seemed to be a legitimate NFC contender.

They were, after all. Despite a second lower-leg injury, Prescott only missed one game and had a good return season, completing 68.8% of his throws for 4,449 yards and 37 touchdowns against only ten interceptions. The defense, headed by rookie phenom Micah Parsons, improved from 28th place in 2020 to eighth place in 2021.

Dallas finished 12-5 in the regular season and won the NFC East for the first time in three years for a variety of reasons. Unfortunately for the Cowboys, their regular-season success didn’t carry over to the playoffs, as they were eliminated in the Wild Card Round by the San Francisco 49ers.

And things haven’t gotten much better since that shocking defeat, as the NFL offseason in Dallas hasn’t been terrific so far. After raising concerns about his position on the club, the four-time Pro Bowl wideout was dealt to the Cleveland Browns. Cedrick Wilson, who had a three-year contract with the Miami Dolphins after catching 45 catches for 602 yards and six touchdowns, is also gone.

Dallas also lost two offensive line starters, with La’el Collins joining the Cincinnati Bengals and Connor Williams joining Wilson and heading to South Beach.

Randy Gregory, the Cowboys’ top goal this summer, signed with the Denver Broncos only hours after it seemed he might re-sign in Dallas.

So, in the 2022 NFL Draft, Jerry Jones and the rest of the Cowboys’ front staff had some openings to fill.
