It’s been a long time since the last time we saw Manny Pacquiao in the ring. In recent years, he has been involved in a number of scandals and controversies that have left many wondering why he would want to come back at all.

Why would you come back into my life? is a question that many people ask themselves. Yet, there are some who never seem to get it right and end up in the same situation again and again. Read more in detail here: why did you come back into my life.

When former All-NBA big player LaMarcus Aldridge announced his retirement from the NBA in April 2021, it came as a shock. Following medical advice, he took a break from basketball after suffering an abnormal heartbeat during a game on April 10. He admitted to having depression after retiring, and then surprised everyone again this summer by re-signing with the Brooklyn Nets.

Aldridge got medical permission to return to the NBA and immediately agreed to a one-year veteran’s minimum contract with the Nets. However, Brooklyn general manager Sean Marks (Sean Marks) is a previously acknowledged that bringing back the seven-time All-Star was a tough decision.

LaMarcus Aldridge has a solid Hall of Fame résumé already.

LaMarcus Aldridge has a better than 50/50 chance of making the Hall of Fame, according to Basketball Reference’s Hall of Fame Probability Index. Aldridge has a 50.9 percent rating, which puts him ahead of 30 Hall of Famers. Ben Wallace, Chris Webber, and Bob Dandridge are among the 2021 entrants.

It may not happen on the first ballot, but he has a good chance.

With almost $211 million in career earnings, Aldridge’s incentive to return for a minimum-wage job is unlikely to be financial. Instead, Aldridge is pursuing a championship ring as the cherry on top of a fantastic career sundae, like many other Brooklyn Nets veterans have done.

The GM of the Brooklyn Nets publicly questioned why LaMarcus Aldridge chose to take such a risk.

LaMarcus Aldridge signed a one-year contract with the Brooklyn Nets as soon as he cleared waivers after being bought out by the San Antonio Spurs in March 2021.

Before being forced to retire, he only appeared in five games, all of which he started. In those games, the five-time NBA All-Star averaged 12.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists in 26.0 minutes per game, shooting 52.1 percent overall and 4-of-5 from deep range (where is only a 32.1 percent career marksman).

Rather of returning veteran DeAndre Jordan to the starting lineup, Nets coach Steve Nash turned to Blake Griffin, another veteran who came to Brooklyn following a buyout. As the Nets attempt to win their first NBA title, it seems like Aldridge and Griffin will split time at the five.

According to NBA.com, Marks claimed he asked Aldridge directly why he wanted to return during his preseason news conference:

“I tried to persuade him otherwise. ‘Why?’ I asked. Why would you return if you don’t need this?’

“It’s not something we take lightly, and it’s not something he should either, and he was very comfortable, wanted to be back here, and stated, like several of our guys, that there was unfinished business here, so to bring him back in the fold, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him last season, and we all saw what he was capable of doing and the dynamic he added to the team both on and off the field, so to bring him back in the fold, we thoroughly enjoyed our time with

Sean Marks

Nash will undoubtedly benefit from Aldridge’s addition to the rotation.

How do the Brooklyn Nets look now that LaMarcus Aldridge is back?

LaMarcus Aldridge’s return offers the Brooklyn Nets another former All-Star. Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Griffin, and Paul Millsap are also on the roster. The Los Angeles Lakers, their main title opponent (at least according to Las Vegas odds), have seven previous All-Stars on their roster: LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Russell Westbrook, Rajon Rondo, DeAndre Jordan, Anthony Davis, and Carmelo Anthony.

The Nets have just one center on their roster, and he’s unlikely to see much action until it’s in the G-Long League’s Island division. Day’Ron Sharpe, the 29th overall selection, and Jevon Carter were acquired from the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Landry Shamet.

Instead, Aldridge and Griffin will split time at the five, with youthful Nicolas Claxton thrown in for good measure. However, with Millsap or James Johnson in the center, the Nets could get some small-ball looks as well.

The Nets have all the tools to make a run if their experienced core of Durant, Irving, and Harden can remain healthy. Last season, the three only appeared in eight regular-season games together, and both Irving and Harden were forced to miss the playoffs due to injury. It’s the cost of experience: as you become older, your chance of harm rises. The Brooklyn Nets are counting on their experience to take them to never-before-seen heights, with eight players in their 10th NBA season or more.
