In the Osaka Open, Dutch qualifier Suzan Lamens secured her spot in the second round by defeating the No 6 seed Viktoriya Tomova from Bulgaria with a score of 6-1, 6-2 at the Utsubo Tennis Center on Monday night.
Lamens, who is currently ranked No 132, is set to face the winner of the match between Italian Lucia Bronzetti and Spaniard Cristina Bucsa in her next match.
